The School of Civil and Commercial Law has about 1800 students and 60 faculty members, including more than 40 professors and associate professors, among whom 24 faculties hold doctoral degrees. Thisschool offers one undergraduate program: Bachelor of Civil and Commercial Law; and two postgraduate programs: Master of Civil and Commercial Law and Master of Civil Procedure Law. It provides a series of courses, including Civil Law, Commercial Law, Civil Procedure Law, Professional Ethics of Law and Marriage and Family Law. Among them, Civil Law and Commercial Law are awarded as Shaanxi excellent courses while Civil Procedure Law as college excellent course. Thisschool holds various academic competitions and activities, facilitates the publication of Northwestern Law Club, a student-established academic journal and engages students in social and legal practical activities.
