On May 20, a delegation of 11 people led by Dato’ Mohammad Redzuan Othman, the President of Selangor University, Malaysia, visited our university for cooperative meeting. President Fan Jiuli of NWUPL attended and delivered a speech, Vice President Zhang Ronggang chaired the meeting.
President Fan Jiuli stated that in the process of advancing educational cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, NWUPL places great importance on exchanges with universities in Maritime Silk Road countries, such as Malaysia, continuously promotes deep and practical exchanges and cooperation with Malaysian higher education institutions. He expressed the hope that two universities can be engaged in practical cooperation in relevant academic fields, contributing to the sustained high-quality development of higher education exchanges and cooperation.
Mohammad Redzuan Othman stated that year 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the China-Malaysia diplomatic relations, hope that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to promote educational cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two universities.

Representatives from both sides had in-depth discussions on joint talent cultivation, faculty and student exchanges, scientific research cooperation, and cultural exchanges.
