To implement the spirit of the China-Central Asia Summit, and to promote cultural exchange, mutual learning, and understanding, the "Chinese Bridge" exchange project (The First Central Asian Students' Legal Culture Study Camp) was held in NWUPL from March 25th to April 3rd. 17 faculty members, undergraduates and postgraduates of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University attended and participated. By conducting a series of activities including cooperation talks, academic forums on law, legal studies, practical visits, and cultural experiences, it is hoped to promote a deeper understanding among Central Asian teachers and students about China's legal culture, as well as the outstanding traditional culture and contemporary achievements.

The Opening Ceremony
On March 25, the opening ceremony was held at the Chang'an Campus. Hundreds of representatives from both sides attended. Vice President Zhang Ronggang attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Heads of relevant departments and schools also were present.

From March 27 to April 1, School of Criminal Law hosted a China-Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan academic symposium on "Criminal Policy and Social Governance in Minor Offense Cases", School of International Law hosted a China-Kazakhstan-UK academic symposium on "New Developments in Legal Education", School of Civil and Commercial Law hosted a China-Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan PhD Forum on "Modernization of the Judicial System".
Special lectures on law studies
Law professors in our university delivered four specialized legal lectures for the students involved, which included the following topics: "Chinese Commercial Arbitration," "Concerns and Practices of the New Company Law in China," "The Belt and Road Initiative and Legal Issues," and "The Application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods in China."
