The 10th Cross-Strait Legal Culture Week Concluded Successfully

The closing ceremony of the 10th Cross-Strait Legal Culture Week was held on October 20th in Northwest University of Political Science and Law. University Deputy Party Secretary Guo Wujun attended, with approximately 40 faculty and student representatives from Law Faculty of Soochow University, Taipei University, Shih Hsin University, Chung Cheng University, Ming Chuan University, and Fu Jen Catholic University and around 100 representatives from Northwest University of Political Science and Law presented in the ceremony.

 

The Award Ceremony for Excellent Participants of the 10th Cross-Strait Legal Culture Week took place, and Guo Wujun presented the certificates for outstanding participants from Taiwan. Dressed in Han Chinese Clothing, student representatives gave an impressive performance, displaying the spirits and integrity, splendid culture, and wisdom of the Chinese nation.

 

Professor Huang Xinyi from Law Faculty, Soochow University and Professor Xie Guoxin from Law Faculty, Chung Cheng University, acclaimed that the diversified activities during the legal culture week provided a platform to share and learn educational ideas, goals, and methods, from which both teachers and students benefited a lot. Student representatives Shi Kaiteng (undergraduate, Shih Hsin University), Liu Zixuan (postgraduate, Institute of Legal Studies, Ming Chuan University), and Chen Jinqi (undergraduate, Soochow University) mentioned the appreciation of Chinese culture and unique atmosphere of the ancient city Xi’an, as well as the deep friendship with students in our university.

 

The Book Presenting was held at the closing ceremony. Representatives exchanged law books as presents. Through a whole-week cultural and practical communication, both teachers and students from Taiwan were fully involved in various activities. They joined the high-quality legal education forums, attended academic conferences, participated in moot court debate, visited law enforcement, traveled to tourist spots, and tasted local food. Connections and identity are tied and enhanced with all the theoretical and practical studies and experiences in historical and cultural heritage, which will promote a promising future across the both sides.
